Each season brings new changes to Erbert Lawns. Some changes are changes that have been discussed and planned out to bring progress to the customers and the company. Other changes are forced into motion by sequences of unforeseen events. Every new customer is asked about specific notes that are put into the route every week for the crew to have so they can implement these detailed instructions to the best of their ability.
Certain house have stairs that lead to the lawn in the backyard. The crews have been carrying the mower down these steps to avoid damage to the stairs. However, recently some crew members have been injured by lifting the equipment, and there has also been some property damage. This is why Erbert Lawns has had to update the safety policy about crew members and properties that have stairs.
If the stairs are not at a size where the crew members can easily and safely walk the mower down without lifting it off the ground, it is no longer a property that we can service. The receptionists in the office are now explaining to all customers, new or continuing, that damage from walking the mower down the steps is a possibility. It is the customers choice if they want to have the crew members walk the mower down and risk damage to the steps.
