John Erbert started Erbert Lawns 32 years ago. It has now grown in to the largest residential mowing company in Colorado; our yellow trucks brightly announcing one of the core values of the Company: WE SHOW UP.
There are four core values to Erbert Lawns. 1.) Get Shit Done. 2.) Make Mom and Dad Proud. 3.) Show Up. 4.) Tell the Truth. These four core values are the inner workings of the company, like the gears behind the face of a clock. These values accurately display the system which Erbert Lawns functions on. The office staff and the crew members get shit done. We pride ourselves on working hard. This is not just not a job for us. This is an extension of our family, our attitude, and our culture.
While other companies focus on a stuffy and silent work environment, Erbert Lawns encourages the opposite. We want the eclectic, the crazy, the nerdy, the dance like no one is watching attitude. We have “Songs of the Day” and barbeques. We celebrate birthdays and play pranks on each other. When the old printer broke in the office John let the office staff take a sledge hammer to it. There is a sense of camaraderie between the crew members who work so hard in the field and the office that works hard behind the curtain. We share good moments and bad days. We listen to old thoughts and new ideas. We believe that good fun and great food is the best way to get through a Monday.
We encourage everyone to come here and act like this is another home, another safe place, yet we still keep to our values and our customers are the #1 concern. Here in the office we always focus on being as professional as possible and going above for our customers. The guys in the field (and one girl!!!) consistently come out to make the lawn look as beautiful as possible. We want to make our moms and dads proud by showing up and working hard, but we strive to find the balance between work and play. We can honestly say that we know that the company grass is not greener on the other side.
