“Early to bed, early to rise. Work like hell and advertise.”

-Gert Boyle

The story of Erbert Lawns starts in 1983 with a twelve-year-old boy named Johnny. Johnny was part of a family where you had to work hard if you wanted the finer things in life. Johnny was not old enough yet to get a legal job, so he began mowing lawns to could earn money to buy the things his parents were not going to give him. Looking back, Johnny is thankful that his parents didn’t just buy him everything he wanted because he was able to experience the “magic of work ethic” and that has helped him become a successful member of our community.

Over the course of 35 years Johnny has built up our company, Erbert Lawns, to be one of the very best in the Denver-metro!

Why do we do what we do? Because, well, people! Erbert Lawns loves serving people in a positive way. We don’t just want to sell weed control and fertilizer to our customers, we want to build long lasting relationships with every single person we service! This open-door policy allows us to really take better care of our customers and their lawns. When someone calls in, we answer the phone by asking “How can I make you smile today?” And we mean it!
Every lawn is different and has its own specific needs. Our Lawn Scientists will keep our customers, as well as the office staff, updated on the current state of each lawn with every visit. The Lawn Scientists are always looking to keep every lawn lush and green! They may make suggestions from time to time on how one can improve their lawn’s health because that is their passion! We are hired by our customers to give them the best lawn possible, and that is always our intention!

Another part of what makes us different is the people we employ. Erbert culture is a bit weird and different when compared to a “normal” company. We encourage our employees to be themselves and not to mask who they really are just because they are at work. That person on the other end of the phone, the one inspecting a yellow patch of grass, and the one laying seed down after aerating all have found their place in our Erbert family.
We will always do what we can at Erbert Lawns to make the world a better (and greener) place, one lawn at a time!

Could a knowledgeable person at your company come look at our yard, etc., to help us to decide whether to switch from TruGreen, please?
